Acupuncture for Pelvic pain
Used internal genital ear points with shen men and sympathetic point. Adding points on the liver channel to reduce heat through the pelvis. Repeating this for 10 sessions.

Using local points behind the ear and in front, plus San Jiao and Gallbladder meridian points. Diagnosed with liver yang rising and kidney yin and yang deficiency. With prescribe herbs with a base of liu di wang huang to be modified.

Lingering Pathogens
Taking an advanced training class on this topic and am beginning to see fibromyalgia as a possible echo pattern in the qi level. Maybe this is not classic lingering pathogen pathology, however it seems to present like qi level muscle aches with underlying deficiencies.

Acupuncture and Anxiety
Using auricular and scalp points for mild anxiety patient. Patient is working with a psychiatrist who has been gradually reducing the dose of a common anti-anxiety drug. So far, results are very good. Will have to post again about continued progress.

Constipation and Ma Zi Ren Wan
Changing the diet to foods that are more "slippery" and "moving", adding acupuncture treatments and using a base formula of ma zi ren wan have helped this case rather quickly. Modifications will be necessary to adjust formula in the coming weeks.

Acupuncture and Pregnancy
I have been asked several times this week about receiving acupuncture once you are pregnant. The answer is always based on your diagnosis. Meaning, is there any diagnostic reason to continue treatment? Some patients have, from a Traditional Chinese Medicine's perspective, reason to continue and others do not. There is no blanket answer.

Poison Oak Treatments
Currently treating a patient with extensive lesions and inflammation from externally contracted poison oak. Three acupuncture sessions in one week and chinese herbs to cool the skin, stop the itching and reduce inflammation.
